Awakening Dreams

Awakening Dreams is a documentary about sacred plant medicines, ancestral wisdom, the awakening of consciousness, indigenous tribes in Latin America and how to dream the world into reality. The story is told from the perspective of an intercultural couple who found each other on the Tribal Gathering Festival 2020 during the outbreak of the global COVID Pandemic. Hanna is a Colombian visual artist and photographer with focus on the female body to create a political statement and impulse the liberation of societal tabus respecting women. Tarek is a German biologist and marine scientist with the focus on ecosystem connectivity who aims to connect science and nature-based spirituality to create balance between oneself, society, and nature.

Parts of the documentary are in Spanish, English, German and indigenous languages with subtitles.
