WHAT IS ALCHEMY?
Alchemy is an ancient and evolving exploration of transformation and transmutation.
Across different cultures and periods, alchemists worked with metals, minerals, plants and other substances, exploring how matter could be purified, combined and transformed.
At the heart of alchemy lies the idea of transmutation: a profound change through which something is transformed from one state, form or set of qualities into another.
Historically, this included the famous pursuit of transforming base metals into noble metals such as gold. Yet within many alchemical traditions, transmutation also became a broader symbol for refinement, purification and inner transformation.

WHAT IS MONOATOMIC GOLD?
Ordinary metallic gold consists of vast numbers of gold atoms arranged together in a metallic structure. Gold is the chemical element Au.
Au — Atomic Number 79
The term Monoatomic Gold is used in modern alchemical contexts for gold understood or prepared in an extremely small, separated or monoatomic state rather than its familiar bulk metallic form. An individual gold atom represents the smallest unit that can still be identified as the element gold.
At the atomic scale, gold should not simply be imagined as a microscopic gold bar — many familiar metallic properties arise from large numbers of atoms interacting together. This opens the fascinating question of how gold may behave when its structure and scale are fundamentally different.

Transition Naturally: From Material Alchemy to Human Transformation
Alchemy can also offer a language for reflecting on transformation within ourselves.
Human transformation can involve intention, mastery, clarity, self-awareness and conscious choice. It can mean recognizing habits or patterns that are no longer suitable, gradually leaving old habits behind, moving beyond situations that no longer serve one’s path, and discovering new perspectives and possibilities.
Transformation can go deeper than temporary sensations. Practices and perspectives such as Ayurveda, self-reflection, conscious lifestyle choices and creative exploration can become tools for individual reflection and development.
Potentially burdensome matters, including difficult or trauma-related experiences, may sometimes be recontextualized, integrated or partially lose their hold during an individual’s broader process of transformation.
An important part of transformation is not simply removing what came before. From what has been learned, new strengths may emerge. Transformation can therefore also involve integration — allowing experiences, discoveries and lessons to contribute to what comes next.

Junes is one of the initiators behind Receive Harmony and a driving force behind its evolving vision. His work and interests connect ancient traditions, holistic lifestyle approaches, creative exploration and curiosity. As a trained Ayurvedic Health Advisor, he explores individualized approaches to nutrition, routines, habits and lifestyle, helping people explore what may be suitable for their own nature and current situation.

Tarek Bakkar
Biologist · Marine Scientist · Researcher · Bridge Builder
Tarek is a biologist and marine scientist with a deep interest in marine ecosystems, ecological connectivity and the relationships between nature, society and the individual.
His path combines scientific research with a growing exploration of ancestral knowledge, spirituality and regenerative ways of living. Through his experiences in Latin America and his encounters with Indigenous and local communities, traditional healers and knowledge holders, he has developed a strong interest in the different ways human beings understand nature, health, consciousness and our place within the living world.
This exploration also extends into a long-term documentary project focused on nature, consciousness, community and plant traditions.
A central question behind his work is:
“How can modern knowledge and ancient wisdom contribute to a more integrated understanding of life?”
At Receive Harmony, Tarek contributes as a bridge builder between different worlds of knowledge. His work includes research, writing, critical reflection and educational content, approaching both scientific and traditional perspectives with curiosity, humility and discernment.
Together with Junes, he helps shape Receive Harmony as a space where ancient traditions, contemporary insights and practical approaches to personal and collective transformation can meet.
